PREVENTIVE SERVICES

Sealants - Decay often occurs on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. To help prevent decay sealants, a clear plastic material, is applied on these areas which then acts as a barrier against these decay-prone areas.

Fluoride treatments - Fluoride treatments are very helpful in the treatment of tooth decay. Our office applies this fluoride either in the form of a varnish or a gel. It helps to keep the essential minerals on the tooth enamel so bacteria and plaque do not attack it.

Diagnident - This a a dental handpiece used to aid in the early detection of decay.

Digital Radiography - This is a film less X-ray image instead of the traditional photographic film. The advantages of digital radiography is the immediate image preview and less radiation used to produce an image.

PERIODONTAL SERVICES

Periodontal Scaling and Root Planning - If plaque starts to creep below the gum line, the bacteria in this plaque can begin to deteriorate the bone and tissue surrounding the teeth. This can lead to gum disease or periodontal disease. Periodontists is a condition that can erode the ligaments and bone beneath the gums ultimately leading to tooth loss. We will work with you in our office to help prevent this from occurring, but if it does then we will deep scale the bacteria-filled pockets.

ENDODONTIC THERAPY

If the tooth's pulp is damaged then root canal therapy is needed. This procedure can save the tooth that would otherwise require extracting.

TMJ SERVICES

If you suffer from temporomandibular disorder, you may need a nightguard. This will prevent you from grinding or clenching your teeth while you sleep.
